CMK Parking Permits

The Council have today decided to defer a decision to alter parking permits after opposition from myself, local residents and CMK Town Council.

The proposal would see the abolition of scratch-cards, with residents also being limited to two permits per household.

Cllr Paul Williams said, “I’m pleased the Council have called a halt to this, and decided to explore other options before going to consultation”.

He continued “The proposals are deeply unfair. It would mean those owning more than two cars effectively having to pay a tax for living in CMK and would mean family visitors having to pay parking charges. The Council need to start from scratch and reconsider these poorly thought out proposals.
