CMK Road Closures – 2 Nov

Please be advised that I have received an application to temporarily close various roads in and around CMK and Campbell Park and to introduce temporary 20mph and 30 mph speed limits in Campbell Park and along parts of the H5 Portway, H6 Childs Way, V8 Marlborough Street and V10 Brickhill Street in order to enable the annual fireworks display at Campbell Park.

PERIOD OF TEMPORARY ORDER:-
· Sunday 2nd November 2014
From 4:00pm to 10:00pm
However, if there is inclement weather forecast over this period the fireworks display will take place on either Saturday 1st November 2014 or Monday 3rd November 2014 and the same restrictions will apply during the hours stated as detailed above.

THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD WILL BE CLOSED BETWEEN 4:00 PM AND 10:00 PM:-
· Avebury Boulevard, CMK & Campbell Park – from its junction with Marlborough Gate to its junction with Overgate;

THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD WILL BE CLOSED BETWEEN 6:00 PM AND 10:00 PM:-
· Skeldon Gate, Campbell Park – its entire length;
· Enmore Gate, Campbell Park – its entire length;
· Marlborough Gate, Central Milton Keynes – its entire length;
· Overgate, Campbell Park – (southbound carriageway) from its junction with H5 Portway to its junction with H6 Childs Way (except for access for authorised vehicles and disabled persons’ parking);
· Midsummer Boulevard, CMK – from its junction with Theatre Walk to its junction with Marlborough Gate;
· Silbury Boulevard, CMK & Campbell Park – from its junction with North Thirteenth Street to its junction with Overgate (except for access for authorised vehicles and disabled persons’ parking);
· The link road joining Marlborough Gate between Bankfield Roundabout and the Xscape Complex (except for access for Xscape maintenance vehicles);
· Kenwood Gate, Campbell Park – at its junction with H6 Childsway, however, traffic will be allowed to egress from Kenwood Gate onto Childs Way.

THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD WILL BE 30 MPH BETWEEN 4:00 PM AND 10:00 PM:-
· H5 Portway, CMK – from its junction with V8 Marlborough Street to its junction with V10 Brickhill Street;
· H6 Childs Way, CMK – from its junction with V8 Marlborough Street to its junction with V10 Brickhill Street;
· V8 Marlborough Street, CMK – from its junction with H5 Portway to its junction with H6 Childs Way;
· V10 Brickhill Street, CMK – from its junction with H5 Portway to its junction with H6 Childs Way

THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD WILL BE 20 MPH BETWEEN 4:00 PM AND 10:00 PM:-
· Silbury Boulevard, Campbell Park – from its junction with Marlborough Gate to its junction with Overgate;
· Overgate, Campbell Park – from its junction with H5 Portway to its junction with H6 Childs Way;
· Skeldon Gate, Campbell Park – its entire length

THE FOLLOWING LENGTH OF ROAD WILL ONLY BE CLOSED IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGECNY AND IF IT IS DEEMED NECESSARY:-
· V8 Marlborough Street, CMK – from its junction with H5 Portway to its junction with H6 Childs Way.

Any local diversion will be indicated by traffic signs and will be in accordance with chapter 8 of the Signs Manual.

There will be no exemptions for this closure except for emergency service vehicles and military vehicles on operational duties.

Disabled persons’ parking facilities will be provided within the restricted area.

Access to residential properties in Campbell Park will be maintained at all times:-
· Access to properties in Adelphi Street, Blairmont Street and Colgrain Street, Campbell Park will be via North Skeldon Roundabout.
· Access to properties in Albion Place, Amelias Lane, Columbia Place, Dalgin Place, Henrietta Way, Leonora Walk, Enterprise Lane, Highbury Lane, Smithsons Place, Huntley Crescent, Mara Place and Glenstal Place, Campbell Park will be via South Enmore Roundabout.
· Access to properties in Eskan Court will be via Overgate only.

I can confirm that the applicant will be placing advanced warning signs along the effected lengths of road 1 week prior to the event taking place.
